LifePo4 Lithium batteries are a must in off-grid solar systems in our opinion. They are safer, lighter, last much longer (10+ years) and can be charged/discharged much faster compared to lead acid batteries. They can also be completely discharged without damage to the battery compared to only 50% with other battery technologies. This means you can have a smaller battery bank and still have more useable power, and for many years! These batteries also come with over current protection, over voltage protection, temperature protection and short circuit protection, all built into the battery so you can rest easy knowing they are safe!
